Tangub Hot Springs
Also known as: Tangup Hot Spring
Tangub Hot Springs lies at Naasag on the west coast, near the Old Volcano. A slope of dark sand and rocky terraces is covered with lava rocks and colourful soft corals. Warm water from a hot spring mixes with the sea, creating a shimmering layer; sources place it at about 13 to 15 m, depending on the tide, or in the shallows near the shore. Green turtles, batfish, lionfish, orang-utan crabs, nudibranchs and schools of fusiliers are seen here. Rockfalls on the shore mean the site is now reached by boat.
