Gypsy Rover

Also known as: Gipsy Rover · Sunken Yacht · Sunken Yatch

Gypsy Rover is a small sailboat sunk for divers more than two decades ago, lying on sand at about 16 m roughly 200 m from shore. A hard coral reef runs beside it down to a sandy bottom in the low twenties. Lionfish and big scorpionfish shelter in the little wreck, and frogfish wait nearby. The real draw is the shallow sand between shore and wreck, a rich muck area where seahorses, blue-ringed octopus, ghost pipefish, leaf fish and garden eels are found, especially from March to June. It can be reached by boat or from shore and is also a popular night dive.
