Burias Shoal
Also known as: Bulias Shoal
Burias Shoal rises from deeper water about 15 minutes by boat from Mantigue Island. Its top is broken into coral bommies and sandy channels, and the edges slope away into the blue. A forest of black coral covers parts of the shoal, and the bommies are clouded with orange and purple anthias. Currents bring large schools of jacks and bigeyes, with tuna and barracuda in deeper water and occasional reef or thresher sharks. It is usually done as a drift dive.
