Bajo de las Palomas
Also known as: Las Palomas
Las Palomas was opened to diving after the other shoals of the reserve and is often called their little brother. Canyons, large rocks and drop-offs shape the site, and its many cracks and arches create a play of light that photographers enjoy. The marine life mixes the fauna of the nearby coves with that of the reserve, from large groupers and barracuda to stingrays, nudibranchs and crustaceans. Because the fish are less used to divers, they can be shyer here than elsewhere. Its shallow depth makes it a calm dive that also suits newer divers.
