USS Arkansas
Also known as: USS Arkansas BB-33
The 171 m battleship served in both world wars, including at Normandy and Okinawa, before it became a target ship. Its hull shows some of the heaviest blast damage at Bikini, with armour plates crumpled and the starboard side crushed. The superstructure has never been found. Divers look for the 12-inch gun barrels, around which fish gather.
