Secca di Miseno
Also known as: Miseno Reef · Shallow of Miseno · Secca di Miseno 1 e 2
The bank is part of an old volcanic structure, with a long cliff whose eroded south-east side has broken into about ten rounded stacks on a bottom of 46 to 58 m. Red Paramuricea gorgonians cover the mounds, many of them colonised by white false black coral, and Centro Sub Pozzuoli notes rare free-standing branches at 50 m. Frequent currents bring nutrients and pelagic fish such as tuna, amberjack and common eagle rays, while large groupers hide in the cracks and small-spotted catsharks rest in vertical clefts. World War II munitions lie scattered on the bottom and must not be touched.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
