Punta Carena

Also known as: Carena Cape

Punta Campanella Diving calls it probably the most spectacular dive around Capri. The ridge stretches several hundred metres offshore and drops almost vertically, its southern wall covered in yellow and red gorgonians, sponges and soft corals. Anthias swarm along the wall in dense curtains, and pelagic fish such as barracuda and small tuna pass by. Two vertical clefts lined with gorgonians and large sponges mark the outer part of the ridge. Frequent strong current and heavy boat traffic make it a dive for very experienced divers only.
