Silver Bank

Silver Bank is a reef of the outer bank system on the west coast, located inside Clarke's Bank and running from southeast to northwest. The Atlantis submarine tours this reef, and divers often share the site with it; fish tend to follow the sub because of its regular feedings. Triggerfish, snappers and small groupers are common, with the occasional mackerel or barracuda, among corals, sea fans and sponges. Towards the southeast the reef drops beyond about 24 m, and on its southwest side lies the small wreck of the Lord Willoughby, sunk in 1976. Caribbean Beat counts it among the popular bank reef sites of the west coast.
