Whip Wire Wall

Whip Wire Wall is one of the multilevel wall dives of Small Hope Bay Lodge. The face is close to vertical, and the whip and wire corals that give the site its name appear only in the deeper part, where they twist outwards into open water. In a Sport Diver feature the wall bends south at roughly 90 ft and becomes far denser past 130 ft, with black corals well established at that depth. The site lies along the Tongue of the Ocean, and the magazine's divers saw a great hammerhead there. On the way up a green turtle accompanied them over the shallower coral gardens on top of the wall.
