Alec's Caverns

Also known as: Alec's Cavern

Alec's Caverns is one of the cavern dives of Small Hope Bay Lodge, and a Sport Diver feature calls it an oceanic blue hole. Natural openings let daylight into the cavern tunnels. Looking up from depth, Sport Diver's divers saw the light through cracks and fissures in the sea floor. The lodge lists rare cryptic sponges, schools of glassy sweepers, plenty of squirrelfish and the occasional nurse shark resting in the cavern. Groupers were found around the opening, and Sport Diver recommends looking for a face in the rock outlined against the blue light.
