Katshoek
From the car park before the barrier divers walk roughly 600 to 800 metres to the end of the breakwater, whose stones break the surface at low water. They enter in the bend of the dam and swim through a lagoon to the inner reef, which is covered with growth and runs down to about twelve metres. On the outer side the current is stronger and the water deeper, and dahlia anemones grow there. Diving is only possible at low water, slack water is short and vertical water movements are common. A north to north-westerly wind above force four spoils visibility and the conditions.
