Tetjes

Also known as: Wemeldinge Tetjes · Nieuwe Sluis · Uitwateringsluis · Gemaal Nieuwe Sluis

The best entry is on the left side of the left pier, from the small beach in the corner. Basalt blocks there carry sea carnations, sea squirts and colourful sponges, and flatfish hide in the sand between them. The western side is shallower, while the northern side leads deep towards the channel. The piers make the current swirl and at times stronger, so the dive is planned around slack water. Squid and cuttlefish appear in season, and brittle stars have displaced the common starfish in places.
