Pange Reef

Also known as: Pange

Pange is the first sandbank west of Zanzibar Town, with coral formations and big sea fans on a gently sloping bottom. Morays, lionfish, rays, angelfish, crocodilefish, octopus and nudibranchs are common, along with clownfish, parrotfish and Moorish idols. Africa Diving uses it for Open Water courses because of its calm, shallow water. At night cuttlefish, squid and crabs come out.
