Mapinduzi Reef
Also known as: Mapinduzi
Mapinduzi means revolution in Swahili, a reference to its unpredictable currents. It is best dived on an incoming tide, and stronger current brings bigger fish: giant groupers, schools of barracuda, mobula and eagle rays, bigeye trevally and Napoleon wrasse. The wall top lies at 8 to 10 m, from where a near-vertical face drops to 40 or 50 m. Fundu Lagoon recommends it only for experienced advanced divers.
