Don Quickset

The name is said to come from the bay ashore, once called Don Quixote and later anglicised to Quickset by English-speaking settlers. The reef top lies at about 10 to 20 ft and is covered with brain corals and other hard corals. The wall drops to roughly 50 ft, and canyon-like channels lead down to a broad sandy area at around 70 ft. To the east, outcrops, overhangs and small channels create varied terrain. Nurse sharks, southern stingrays, tarpon, snapper, grouper and turtles are reported.
