Secca della Cala
Also known as: Deep Rocks of La Cala
Several rocks rise from a sandy bottom at around 60 m in the middle of the gulf locally called La Cala. Their flanks carry red gorgonian fans well over a metre across, and lobsters and basket stars are always present. Diving in Elba describes the site as a cleaning station for ocean sunfish, and Consorzio Elbano Diving reports many sunfish in summer. The dive needs calm seas because current runs here even on the bottom.
