Punta Secca
From the mooring at about 14 m the bottom drops suddenly to 20 to 25 m and then sheer to more than 50 m. Coralligenous growth peaks below 30 m, with sponges, bryozoans and large red and yellow gorgonian fans surrounded by anthias. Basket stars sit on the larger gorgonians, and lobsters hide in the ravines. Resident groupers, scorpionfish and morays live from shallow depth, while dentex and barracuda pass. Infoelba says John Dory are seen often, and Argentario Divers describes encounters with John Dory and, with luck, sunfish on the boulder field below the wall.
