Motu Nuhi Nuhi

Also known as: Nuhi Nuhi Motu · The Aquarium

Motu Nuhi Nuhi is a little coral islet inside the Rangiroa lagoon on the axis of Tiputa Pass. Its sheltered west side, often called the Aquarium, is shallow and out of the current, which makes it the standard spot for introductory dives and courses. Divers find a coral garden crowded with colourful reef fish, blacktip sharks resting on the sand and eagle rays gliding past. The east side of the islet is where many Tiputa drift dives finish, skimming over sand and coral heads.
