Uppuveli Reef

Uppuveli Reef lies roughly a kilometre from the beach, about ten minutes by boat. Trincomalee Bay Dive Center explains that the reef grew around the remains of an old bridge used in colonial times. With depths of only around 5 to 10 m and gentle conditions, it is used for discovery dives, new divers and snorkellers. Colourful soft and hard corals host a wide range of reef fish.
