Koh Torinla
Also known as: Koh Khai · Ko Torinla East · Torinla Reef · Torinla East
The east side of Koh Torinla, the island the Thais call Koh Khai, is covered by a vast reef of staghorn and massive porites corals that reaches the surface at low tide. It slopes gently from the beach into diving depth and stays healthy far into the shallows, so snorkellers and divers can share the site. Hawksbill and green turtles are common, together with bumphead parrotfish, batfish and Jenkins whiprays. A rocky ridge offshore draws whitetip reef sharks and pickhandle barracuda, and the sand around it hosts the colourful Andaman jawfish. Dive centres rate it as an easy site for beginners.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
