Hin Rap

Also known as: Hin Kop · Castle Rock

Hin Rap is a lone rock off the north coast of Koh Surin Nua. Its western side is a shallow reef where snorkelling is possible when the current is weak, and turtles are often seen there. On the eastern side large boulders run down into deeper water, forming caverns and archways near the bottom. Larger fish such as barracuda and tuna hunt among the rocks, and the site is usually dived as a drift. A shoal with its top at about 5 m lies a short distance northwest of the rock.
