Hin Kong
Also known as: Hin Gong · Hin Kong (East West)
Hin Kong, whose name is translated as a pile of rocks, is a group of granite outcrops that rise above the surface and slope down to sand. The boulders form arches and small caves, and whip corals spread over the sea floor around them. Red-tooth triggerfish swarm the rocks and lobsters hide in the cracks. The current draws schools of trevally, barracuda and fusiliers to the rock, and reef sharks are seen in its deeper parts. Dive centres disagree on its difficulty, as conditions change with the current.
