Pothole

Pothole is one of the shallower 5 Mile sites, a wide area of flat coral ridges ending in the well-known pothole. This sinkhole of about 4 m diameter has a swim-through and is packed with glassies, shrimps and bar-tail morays. Divers can follow a ledge about 3 m high and low overhangs before drifting south over ridges covered in life. Kelbe Photography has found juvenile crocodilefish, marble shrimps and a dragon moray here. Grey reef sharks and marbled electric rays are seen around the reef.
