Deep Sponge
Deep Sponge lies parallel to 2 Mile Reef on its deep outer edge, where the reef gradually drops into what is called Sponge Reef. As the name says, large vase-shaped sponges are the main feature. Game fish are frequently seen, and sodwana-bay.co.za reports occasional tiger sharks. A memorial stone for a diver who died also lies on the site.
