Shark Fin Reef
Also known as: Sharkfin Reef
The boulders start at the surface and slope down to a deep sandy bottom, with a steep wall on the southern side. Green cup corals grow in large numbers on the rocks, and anemone gardens cover parts of the sand where turtles like to rest. Leopard sharks, marble rays, humphead parrotfish and Napoleon wrasse are seen, and tiger sharks have been reported passing by. Crevices full of glassfish and huge hard corals make it a good site for photographers. It is as close as boats may come to the protected Islands 1 and 2.
