East of Eden

The reef runs north to south along Koh Payu and slopes from a few metres down to nearly 40 metres. Its northern part has staghorn and blue coral where frogfish hide, and the lower slope holds some of the largest sea fans in the Similans, covered in glassfish. A large bommie with its top at about 8 metres is a focus of the dive. Turtles, rays and many reef fish are seen. Into Dive Center and SSI MyDiveGuide report that the park has closed the site, so divers should check whether it is open.
