Deep Six
The ridge of Koh Payu continues below the surface as stacked boulders that form steps, swim-throughs and canyons. A pile of smaller rocks around a big central boulder creates swim-throughs at about 12 to 25 metres. Whitetip reef sharks rest on the sand early in the day, and giant trevally, tuna and schools of fusiliers hunt along the boulders. Ghost pipefish and frogfish are found by those who look closely. It is often combined with West of Eden in a single drift dive.
