Eagle's Nest

Also known as: Eagle Nest

The site lies at the eastern tip of Warakaraket Island, where limestone cliffs rise like an eagle's eyrie. Divers usually drift along a steep wall with soft corals, gorgonians and black coral, passing caverns and swim-throughs at 20 to 25 m. Schools of fusiliers, snappers and sweetlips are hunted by dogtooth tuna and giant trevally, and grey reef sharks cruise the drop-off. At the end of a long ridge a cleaning station sometimes draws manta rays.
