Flying Sea Cliffs
Flying Sea Cliffs lies on the exposed outer wall of Molokini, which is broken up by many ledges and shelves. The main shelf begins at around 50 feet, and beyond its lip divers find a steep undercut falling away below them. The shaded underside of the shelf is coated in tube corals and red sponges that only show their colours under a strong dive light. Cracks in the wall hide ghost shrimp and spiny lobsters. HAWAII Magazine notes that the back side sites give a better chance of open-ocean fish, sharks and rays than the inside of the crater.
