Crinoid City
Crinoid City is a coral mound about an hour by boat from Tawali Resort. Its front slope carries black coral trees and countless crinoids, which in turn hide Merlet's scorpionfish (rhinopias). A resident school of jacks and huge schools of fusiliers and anthias circle the reef, making it a fine wide-angle site. Divers have also seen the epaulette shark endemic to Milne Bay here. Surface currents can be strong.
