El Freezer
El Freezer is a huge wall that owes its name to the colder water found on this side of Malpelo. Parts of it are covered in hard coral while elsewhere the bare volcanic rock shows. The attraction lies off the wall: large schools of hammerheads, silky sharks, tunas and jacks cruise past. Manta rays, eagle rays and even whale sharks are reported here, along with creole wrasse and eels on the wall.
