El Acuario

El Acuario is a big submerged rock close to Los Tres Mosqueteros. It counts among the coldest sites at Malpelo and is often hit by strong currents. Snappers, barracudas and many colourful reef fish shelter around the rock. In the blue, huge schools of tuna frequently pass, and whale sharks are reported to be common here.
