Nordstjernen

Also known as: D/S Nordstjernen · DS Nordstjernen

Nordstjernen was built in 1937 for the Bergen Line and sailed the coastal express until the night of 22 September 1954, when she strayed off course in Raftsundet on her way from Svolvær to Stokmarknes and struck the rocks. Five people lost their lives while most of those on board were rescued. The wreck rests on its starboard side close to a fish farm, and much of the wooden decking is still in place. Its depth makes it a dive for technical divers only.
