Karlshorst

Also known as: M/S Karlshorst · MV Karlshorst

Karlshorst was built in 1967 at the Neptun yard in Rostock and sailed for the state shipping company of the GDR. On her last voyage she was carrying more than 3,800 tonnes of timber from Arkhangelsk to Rostock when the load moved in heavy weather and she was lost on 27 October 1977. The roughly 93 m ship now rests in Nappstraumen close to Ballstad at 12 to 22 m. Lofoten Diving in Ballstad takes divers to the wreck with its RIB.
