Mawali Wreck

Also known as: Mawali

The wreck is named after the nearby village of Mawali. Lying on her side, the coral-encrusted hull is a very good dive for nudibranchs and flatworms, with large scorpionfish and lionfish, cuttlefish, ghost pipefish and mantis shrimps. Bastianos describes an intact propeller and rudder at the stern, partly open cargo holds and a swim-through near the wheelhouse framed by a sea fan. Black coral, crinoids and soft corals cover the structure so thickly that the top of the hull no longer looks like a ship.
