Serena Besar

Also known as: Sarena Besar · Serena

Besar means big, and the site is on the larger Serena Island. Juvenile barramundi cod and dotty sweetlips flutter over the shallow coral, while the rubble area in the middle is the richest part, with Banggai cardinalfish, stick pipefish, ghost pipefish and frogfish. On the sand at depth guides find wonderpus, black and blue ribbon eels and devil scorpionfish buried in the sand. Lembeh Resort reports a red weedy scorpionfish found on the rubble at 25 m in July 2008.
