Makawide

Makawide is named after the nearby village. Below the coral shallows and a wall similar to that of Nudi Retreat, a few rocky pinnacles rise from the silty slope from about 26 m up to 15 m, covered in life. Dive The World describes two large boulders in the middle of the channel with sea whips that hide black coral crabs and Pontohi pygmy seahorses, plus seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish and frogfish on the black sand. Lembeh Resort notes that divers who push a hand into the black sand can feel the heat of volcanic activity.
