Angel's Window
Also known as: Angels Window · Angel Window
The window is a large cave on the deep side of the pinnacle, named for the early morning sunlight that shines through it. One side is a coral slope levelling onto sand at about 15 m, the other a wall to a shelf at 8 m, a small plateau and a second drop-off to 20 to 32 m. Sea fans and soft corals cover the pinnacle, Murex names Bargibant and Pontohi pygmy seahorses, and schooling fish, anthias, trevally and snappers swirl around the top. The swim-through is lined with crinoids and feather stars, so Dive The World advises going through only with perfect buoyancy. The site is open to current, and the NAD-Lembeh guide notes that entries are timed to the tide.
