Efra's Wall

Efra's Wall honours Efra, a diver from Guanica and La Parguera who found and named many of the area's sites. It lies a little further out than most wall dives, but the topography rewards the longer ride. Deep sand channels and a canyon cut into the wall, and a pinnacle that has broken away from the face forms a narrow swim-through lined with sponges and deep-water sea fans. Gorgonians, whip corals, golden zoanthids and a forest of black coral cover the rock. Schools of creole wrasse gather here, along with black durgons, slipper lobsters and striped parrotfish.
