Pink Beach

Also known as: Pantai Merah · Red Beach

The reef slopes from the pink beach to around 25 m, with a short wall halfway down. Thousands of reef fish, including regal angelfish, damselfish, wrasse, unicornfish and fusiliers, live along it. Macro subjects include frogfish, mantis shrimp, crocodilefish, gobies and jawfish. The sand gets its pink colour from fragments of red coral mixed with white sand. Because the water is usually calm, it is also a popular snorkelling and night diving spot.
