Soft Coral Area

Local dive operators call this site Soft Coral, Secret Garden or East Current, because it lies east of the outlet current channel. Divers enter from the buoys set by snorkelling operators beyond the Fish Feeding Area. The bottom is carpeted with well-developed soft corals, including finger-shaped and leathery species, that sway in the gentle current. The rich coral cover shelters many small creatures, which makes it a strong macro site. Giant trevally, damselfish, snappers, clownfish and turtles are also seen here.
