Helmut's Reef

The shallow top holds fields of staghorn, plate and cabbage corals, which DAN's writer counted as the best coral formations of the trip. Deeper down are giant orange sea fans, black corals, red sponges and soft corals. On an incoming tide fusiliers and redtooth triggerfish swarm the reef, while dogtooth tuna, mackerel and grey reef sharks hunt around it. Diversion Dive Travel calls it a demanding dive where the unexpected can turn up.
