Neptune Reef

Also known as: Neptune – three rocks · Neptune Reef (Three Rocks) · Neptün · Kaş Neptün · Neptun Reef

Neptune Reef rises to a shallow top just off Cape Çondur, where waves often break overhead. Its southern slope and the area towards the shore are scattered with amphorae from an ancient wreck site, from about 20 metres upward. Deeper on the same side lies the TCSG-119, a retired 29-metre Turkish coast guard boat sunk as an artificial reef in 2011, which storms have pushed deeper than planned. A little current in the 15-metre channel brings striped groupers hunting silversides, and to the west a small canyon by the shore and a chain of rocks are worth exploring.
