Murrays Beach

Murrays Beach sits in the protected southern corner of Jervis Bay, so it is a reliable shore dive when the outer coast is too rough. Divers follow the rocky headland towards Governor Head over reef, kelp forest and seagrass beds that bottom out around 8 to 12 m. Wobbegongs, blue gropers, Port Jackson sharks, nudibranchs and seahorses in the seagrass are mentioned. The entry is next to an active boat ramp, so a surface marker buoy or dive flag is needed, and entering near high tide gives the least current. Parks Australia names the rock platforms here among the best snorkelling spots of the bay.
