Boiler Wreck
Little is left of this old coal-fired steamer apart from part of the stern and the two boilers that name it, and its broken hull is overgrown with coral. A typical dive starts in open water west of the wreck on a wall that reaches about 45 m, decorated with large sea fans, black coral and pink and red soft corals, before rising to the wreck. Past the bow, which lies in less than 3 m, a crevice leads into a network of caverns and gullies and a tunnel to an open pool, lit by beams of sunlight from above. A resident moray eel lives at the wreck, and sharks, manta rays and large jacks may pass along the wall. Surge and current can be strong in the shallow caves.
