Anas Reef

Also known as: Anna's Reef

Anas Reef is a coral island in the Abu Tair area, a longer boat ride from Jeddah. Sponges on the reef help keep the water clear all year. The reef combines coral walls, slopes and drop-offs, with shallow parts that also suit snorkellers. Blue-spotted rays and jacks are its main feature, and schools of fish, Napoleon wrasse, octopus and occasional blacktip reef sharks are seen.
