Los Mogotes
Also known as: Mogotes
Los Mogotes begins on a shallow reef platform that drops off into a vertical wall some 6 to 10 m high, with the dive between about 7 and 18 m. Below the wall dozens of tarpon school and reef sharks circle. The wall itself is a favourite of coral spotters, with colourful Scolymia corals, cryptic Madracis and St. Thomas mushroom corallimorphs. A full-grown rainbow parrotfish, the largest herbivorous fish of the Atlantic, was seen here.
