Twin Tunnels

Also known as: Twin Tunnels Reef · Tulagi Twin Tunnels

The pinnacle rises from deep water to a plateau of hard corals. Two shafts lined with gorgonians, whip corals and soft corals lead down to a horizontal cave whose exit lies on the sheer wall. Outside, schools of fusiliers stream past and grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks and pelagic fish patrol the current side. Pygmy seahorses live in the fans, and the coral garden on top holds sweetlips, triggerfish, anemonefish and many other reef fish.
