Azumasan Maru
The Azumasan Maru was attacked by US aircraft while resupplying Japanese troops on Guadalcanal and later sank after further bombing. The wreck is upright and carries plenty of soft corals and colour. Motorbikes and sidecars remain in the second hold. Photographers like the view of the bow from the sand looking back along the hull. Because the stern drops to very deep water, the site suits trained technical divers.
