Kyushu Maru
Also known as: Kyusyu Maru · Bonegi 3 · Ruiniu
The Kyushu Maru carried troops and supplies to Guadalcanal and was hit during the US air attacks of 15 October 1942. Its shallow bow section is broken up, but the deeper stern is fairly intact, with both propeller fairings, the rudder and open holds. Divers can enter the rear hold and swim forward to the large engine, passing remnants of cargo on the way. Corals and sponges encrust the wreck and attract snappers, fusiliers, trevally, lionfish, nudibranchs and anemonefish.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
